August 20 -Join Davis Kiwanis for an inspiring luncheon featuring Doni DeBolt, Executive Director of
Yolo County CASA, who will share how Yolo CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates)
works to make a difference in the lives of children who have experienced abuse or neglect.
Learn how CASA advocates provide children with a consistent, caring adult who speaks up for
their best interests and helps ensure that their needs are heard and addressed. Discover the
challenges these children face, the role of CASA volunteers, and how members of our
community can help make a lasting difference.

Founded in 1958, the Kiwanis Club of Davis has been serving the local Davis community for the past 65 years. We are committed to organizing innovative service projects and fundraising initiatives to make the world a better place starting with the Davis community. We are known for our annual 4th of July Kiddie Bike parade, Scholarships for Davis High and King High, and Annual Crab Feed. We support organizations such as the Kiwanis Family House, NorCal Trykers, Davis Community Meals, among others.

Join the Davis Kiwanis Club for an engaging and informative luncheon featuring Shoshana Zatz, Chair of Heart of Davis, a community-based volunteer organization dedicated to helping some of our community’s most vulnerable residents.

Shoshana discussed how Safe Heart provides a safe and legal place for individuals and families who are living in their vehicles. Learn about the organization’s compassionate approach, the challenges facing those experiencing housing insecurity, and how volunteers and community partnerships are making a meaningful difference right here in Davis.
